I don’t need to have sex anymore — what Tantra has done for me.

Once you’ve experienced a spiritual orgasm you won’t care about getting your rocks off either.

I mean it. It’s not that I can’t get laid and have given up. I actually don’t need sex anymore. Here’s why.

Over the last several years I have grown myself in so many ways. I’ve done that deep work people talk about. I’ve done shadow work. I’ve faced and felt my wounds and traumas. I’ve seen the gift in all the things that have happened. The abuse, the neglect, the betrayals. Not that I am beyond all those things, but they don’t own me anymore.

As I’ve gone through that process a big part of the work has been upleveling my vibration through energy work. I’ve been doing Reiki for 25 years so it’s nothing new to me. But I’ve added a few different tools to that energetic toolkit. Consciousness Exercises, Kundalini Activation, Emotion Code and more. All to feel the healing and to raise my vibration.

Kundalini Activation was the biggest game changer for me, but that’s because I did all the other work prior. What Kundalini Activation is can be a whole other topic which I’ll post on another time. Suffice it to say that it is our lifeforce, our chi, our prana, it’s that which animates us and brings consciousness to our physical body. It’s also the energy of creation. Sexual energy.

In ancient Tantra teachings it lies coiled at the base of the spine 3–1/2 times. When we raise the kundalini, or activate it, it rises up the chakras or energy centers, from our root to our heart all the way up to our crown. This is what changes our vibrations, from living in survival to thriving. From living a life led by our genitalia to living from our heart and our connection with source. From living based on our primal urges to living from our soul, our spirit.

In conjunction with that, our experience of the world changes, and how we experience bliss and pleasure changes.

My first Kundalini Activation as a participant blew my mind. I experienced bliss and ecstasy like I have never felt before. I mean — never. Imagine the most powerful experience you’ve ever had with a man or a woman and times it by ten and you kind of get close. This was truly an energetic experience beyond words. Some would call it a spiritual or energetic orgasm, but I don’t like to use that because it doesn’t do it justice. Orgasm is just the most pleasurable experience most of us living in the 3D world have had, so it’s all we have to compare it to.

It was truly an out of body experience. The pleasure was centered about a foot in front of my heart but it encompassed my whole being. It was nothing like the mere physical release that we get from a typical love making session. Truly mind blowing.

Then I went to my second session a month later….and O.M.G. I. Can’t. Even.

I thought I had reached the limits of what pleasure can feel like in my first session. I broke right through that ceiling. To the point where it triggered some of that old unworthiness. Do I deserve to feel this good?? Who am I to experience this?? It also made me realize — what if THIS isn’t the limit either? How much more can I stand? (I’m excited to find out!)

The most amazing thing about all this is that my clothes were on the entire time. There was nothing physical happening with my body from outside of myself. This was truly self-generated. And I’ve had this experience many times since. Sometimes, when I’m just sitting quietly doing a mindfulness meditation. Other times, it’s when I facilitate these sessions for others. It’s wonderful really.

You can’t even compare this to your typical bedroom encounter. I’ll take this experience over being with a woman the old way any day of the week. So, no, I don’t need sex anymore.
